Fully Equipped Repro Studio
Our Repro Studio is fully equipped with the most modern PC's and Apple Macs with large format cinema displays, has the very latest versions of all of the software packages used by our customers and accepts files in a large number of formats taken in via e-mail, File Transfer Protocol, ISDN and on disc.
PDF Workflow
We operate a PDF workflow system utilising the "rip once read many" principle enabling a file to run unchanged to multiple devices thus preserving data integrity through output to PDF's, digital proofs, laser proofs and plates. Our recently installed CTP system is also
processor less, further reducing the company's environmental footprint
Print Room Equipment
The print room contains four fully maintained Heidelberg presses. We have two Heidelberg Speedmasters, which are designed for longer-run colour work, print up to 10,000 sheets per hour, handling paper up to B2 in size, both with the ability to perfect (printing both sides in one pass).
Complementing these are a four colour GTO 52 B3 press. This machine is designed for short-run multi-colour work and also has the capability to perfect and there is also a GTO 52 single colour press. This smaller machine is specifically designed for printing (and numbering) newsletters, leaflets, brochures and stationery and has an attachment enabling it to print envelopes efficiently.
Print Finishing Suite
Mayfield's finishing suite is also Heidelberg based, comprising guillotines, folders, and gatherer-stitcher. In-house, we also have the facilities to laminate, online inkjet number, together with multi-hole punch, shrink wrap, cut and crease and various other specialist ancillary equipment.
